  • Reiki is a gentle form of energy healing that supports relaxation, emotional balance, and overall well-being. The word “Reiki” comes from Japanese and translates to “universal life force energy.”

During a Reiki session, energy is channeled through the practitioner’s hands to help restore balance within the body, mind, and spirit. Many people experience a sense of calm, clarity, and deep rest after a session.

    What Is Usui Reiki?

Mikao Usui developed Usui Reiki in Japan in the early 1900s. This traditional Reiki practice focuses on gentle energy flow, mindfulness, and healing through light touch or hands placed just above the body.

Usui Reiki is often experienced as:

    · calming
    · grounding
    · nurturing
    · restorative

It supports the body’s natural ability to relax and heal.

    What Is Tibetan Reiki?

Tibetan Reiki blends traditional Usui Reiki with additional techniques focused on breath, visualization, and energy movement. Some practitioners describe Tibetan Reiki as having a stronger energetic intensity and deeper focus on clearing energetic blockages.

    It may feel:

    · more activating
    · deeply cleansing
    · energetically expansive

Both styles share the same intention: restoring balance and supporting overall wellness.

    Benefits of Reiki Energy Healing

People seek Reiki for many different reasons, including support with:

    · stress and overwhelm
    · anxiety and emotional fatigue
    · energetic exhaustion
    · sleep and relaxation
    · grounding and clarity
    · emotional healing
    · nervous system regulation

Every experience is unique, but many people leave feeling lighter, calmer, and more connected to themselves.

    A Gentle Space to Reset

Reiki is not tied to any religion or belief system. It is a supportive healing practice that invites the body into a state of rest, balance, and restoration.

Whether you are new to energy healing or returning to your practice, Reiki offers a quiet space to pause, reconnect, and reset.

  • Think of Baduanjin as the original “life hack” from ancient China. Known as the Eight Treasures of Brocade, it’s a series of eight movements designed to be as smooth and elegant as high-quality silk (Jin). It’s basically “Taoist Yoga” minus the expensive leggings and difficult headstands.

The Vibe: Mind, Body, & Breath in Sync
Baduanjin isn’t about crushing calories; it’s about harmony. By combining slow movements with deep breathing, you’re essentially “tuning” your internal engine. The goal? To keep your Qi (energy) flowing so your spirit stays bright and your muscles stay flexible.

    The “Great Eight” Lineup
Each of the eight movements targets specific internal organs and energy pathways:
    1. Hold Up the Heavens: Reaches the “San Jiao” (your body’s internal thermostat).
    2. The Archer: Mimics drawing a bow to boost your heart and lungs.
    3. Single Hand Lift: Gives your spleen and stomach some much-needed TLC.
    4. The Backward Gaze: Literally looks behind you to “shake off” fatigue and stress.
    5. The Tail Wag: A swaying motion to “drain the fire” from your heart (great for cooling down anger).
    6. The Toe Touch: Two hands on the feet to keep your kidneys strong.
    7. The Angry Stare: Clench those fists! This builds raw strength and vitality.
    8. The Heel Bounce: Standing on tiptoes to “vibrate” away a hundred diseases.

    Why Try It?
It’s simple, slow, and portable. You don’t need a gym… just a few feet of space and a desire to feel a bit more “balanced.” Whether you’re looking for longevity or just a way to de-stress after a long day, these ancient treasures have stood the test of time for a reason.
